(Source: City of Washington, DC - District of Columbia) Washington, DC - The District of Columbia Department of Employment Services reported today that 8,400 jobs were added to the District's private sector industries during October 2015. The seasonally adjusted preliminary unemployment rate was 6.6 percent - down by 0.1 percentage point from the reported and revised September unemployment rate. The District's preliminary October job estimates show public sector payrolls decreased by 200 jobs, for a total of 773,000 jobs in the District.
